ACA & Obamacare plans in Georgia
Georgia residents shop for Affordable Care Act plans through Georgia Access, Georgia’s own state-run marketplace. Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs from November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027, and you need to enroll by December 15, 2026 for coverage that starts January 1. Outside Open Enrollment, a qualifying life event such as losing job-based coverage, moving, getting married, or having a baby can let you enroll.
Georgia has not fully expanded Medicaid. Its Georgia Pathways program offers limited Medicaid coverage to some adults who meet work or activity requirements. For most people, a Marketplace plan with income-based savings is the main affordable option, and premium tax credits generally start at 100% of the federal poverty level.
Every ACA plan sold in Georgia covers essential health benefits, and plans can’t turn you down or charge you more for a pre-existing condition. Learn how ACA plans work.
